Containers

Jessica the Florist endeavours to supply the particular basket or container as shown with the arrangements on this website. Alternative containers of a similar value and style will be substituted where containers should not be available. We ensure that your flowers are delivered in excellent condition with flower food and flower care instructions supplied.

Our Physical Store address

Sometimes there’s no alternative to a face to face discussion. We welcome customers to our conveniently located Lower Hutt store. Take a moment to look around our shelves for inspiration or talk to our staff.

E-Commerce Terms and Conditions

Jessica the Florist online transactions are handled by 2Day.com, a New Zealand-based web hosting company that offers secure e-commerce facilities using Best Industry Practices. 2Day’s e-commerce server receives your credit card information using SSL (secure sockets layer) 128 Bit encryption. This means that your credit card information is secure in transit, and is held and processed on 2Day.com’s secure servers.

We do not release your account details or any account information to any third party. Your credit card details are confidential and only used for the processing and delivery of your order.

Our prices

All prices that are quoted on our website are in NZ dollars and include GST ( a 12.5% consumer sales tax levied by NZ Inland Revenue) .

Delivery Charges and Timing

Our charges for delivery around the greater Wellington area or nationwide or overseas are added to the total cost of your order. Please note that rural deliveries may incur an extra charge. Delivery charges and Interflora transmission charges include GST.

The customer is responsible for choosing the delivery option.

Saturday delivery

Wellington area – your orders must be in by 10:30am for same day delivery. Outside Wellington – your orders must be in by 10:00am for same day delivery

International delivery

Must have the recipients name, address, postcode,(if applicable) name of business (if applicable) and contact phone number. Remember, because New Zealand is close to the international date line we really can delivery ‘yesterday’ to many countries!

Funerals

In the case of funeral deliveries we require the name of deceased, together with the name, address and telephone number of funeral home to ensure delivery is prior to commencement of service. If delivery is to go to the family of the deceased please ensure a message is included.

Rural deliveries

Rural deliveries will incur an extra delivery charge. Details are required such as Fire No, recipients telephone no, and any specific instructions about where goods should be left on the property.

Vicious dogs

Our couriers are not responsible for leaving a delivery if there is a vicious dog on the premises and there is no one at home. Please inform us along with a phone number to contact the recipient to organize to leave the delivery in a safe place.

Please leave a message with your concerns on our answerphone and we will promptly attend to your query on the next working day to put things right.

REFUND Policy

Any gifts that are unwanted must be returned in saleable condition (as sold). Unfortunately because flowers and floral arrangements are perishable we are not able to offer refund or exchange on these goods.

Our site is online credit card approved and We accept Visa, Mastercard, Diners card, American Express, and most international cards, as well as Farmers Card (NZ only).We also accept payment by Direct Bank Credit – email us for account details. We accept cheques by prior arrangement. Money orders or cash are accepted by registered mail or call into our conveniently located Lower Hutt store.

The floral designs shown on this website are available for delivery in New Zealand only. Call Jessica the Florist for information about international deliveries, designs and pricing. International designs are produced to Interflora standards and are delivered in fresh condition.
